Video: How to replace the UltraStream filter cartridge – Under-sink

  1. Firstly, go underneath your sink and turn off the blue and white cold water tap, where the red hose connects with the cold water line.
  2. Place a bowl, bucket or towel under the UltraStream to collect any water leakage from the filter when you remove it from its base.
  3. Use the John Guest Tool (provided with your under sink kit) or the tip of your finger to press the grey ring around the blue hose on the top of the UltraStream and pull the blue hose out at the same time.
  4. Next, take out the Grey John Guest Converter on the top of your UltraStream in the same manner as above.  You will need to keep this Grey John Guest Converter to connect into your new replacement filter.
  5. Unscrew the filter from the base.  To do this, lay the UltraStream on its side and remove the base plate with the two holes, as this will give more grip to unscrew the filter. Unscrew the filter and take off the rounded cover at the top of the unit.
  6. Screw the new filter onto the base.  This doesn’t need to be really tight, just firmly screwed on.
  7. Put in the Grey John Guest Converter as far as it will go and then put the blue hose into the John Guest Converter.  Push in as far as it will go.
  8. Replace the base plate and cover onto the new filter which you have just installed.
  9. Turn on the cold water tap and check for any leaks.
  10. If there is a leak, make sure you have put the blue hose is as far as it can go and make sure the filter is screwed on enough to prevent a leak.
